An exceptional venue in the heart of the South of France Luberon, Provence

Luxury Weddings, Private Receptions, and Exclusive Events, in an Authentic Provencal Estate

Surrounded by vineyards, lavender fields, and olive groves, the Château de Pradines is a historic Provencal estate offering a truly rare and timeless setting for destination weddings and private celebrations in the South of France. Classified as a Historic Monument, the Chateau's expansive outdoor grounds provide an elegant and serene backdrop for luxury weddings, refined receptions, and exclusive events, where Provencal charm meets quiet sophistication.

The Venue

In the heart of the Luberon, the Chateau de Pradines, a listed French Historic Monument, reveals a setting where time seems to stand still - a place designed for beauty, elegance, and celebration.

Spanning over 15 hectares, the estate blends Provençal gardens, nature, and heritage. It unfolds among lavender fields, olive groves, vineyards, and cypress-lined avenues, offering a natural yet refined backdrop for open-air receptions.

Beneath centuries-old trees, ceremonies come to life; cocktails are enjoyed on the terrace overlooking the medieval village of Grambois; and dinners unfold beneath softly lit garlands, reflected in fountains and stone basins.

The estate offers multiple versatile outdoor spaces, allowing each event to be curated according to the season and desired atmosphere: poolside brunches, elegant lunches or cocktail receptions in the formal French garden, and intimate moments in the orchard or rose garden, where delicate fragrances blend seamlessly with the serenity of the surroundings.

Inside, the château has preserved the full elegance of its past - most notably through its former private theatre, now transformed into a truly unique dance floor, offering an exceptional setting to make your celebration unforgettable.

Every corner of Pradines tells a story: the formal gardens, sunlit frescoes at golden hour, stone terraces bathed in soft light, and the calming views over the Provençal village and the Luberon hills.
More than a reception venue, the Chateau de Pradines offers an experience, where every moment becomes timeless.

« I got married at Pradines Pradines and we could not have dreamed of a more beautiful setting. The venue is simply magical. We loved the view over Grambois during the coktail hour, the Chateau backdrop during dinner, the magnigicant fresco for our waltz, and the theatre atmosphere for the celebration. In short, a true fairytale, the princess wedding I had alwasy dreamed about. Thank your to Roland Paix, thanks to whom everything ran perfectly without any timing concerns, and to the entire Chateau de Pradines team for their warm and welcoming hospitality. »

« I had the distinct honor and pleasure of staying at Château de Pradines and celebrating the most beautiful wedding I’ve ever attended. The setting was absolutely breathtaking — from the château itself to the surrounding countryside — and the atmosphere was so warm and welcoming that I instantly felt at home. The kindness and hospitality of the hosts made the whole experience even more special, and it was clear how much care and love they put into everything. Every little detail of the weekend, from the warm welcome to the thoughtful touches throughout, made it feel truly magical. I couldn’t imagine a more perfect place to celebrate such an occasion, and I’ll carry these memories with me for a long time. »

A Glimpse into History

Although the site has been occupied since Roman times, the earliest part of the present residence dates back to the era of the Knights Templar, when the building was still a simple sheepfold.

Joseph Bonnin, a lawyer at the Court of Aix and a discerning merchant, and later his heiress Clémence Bec - wife of American shipowner Douglas Fitch - developed a deep attachment to the estate. Together, they transformed the house into a true bastide and landscaped the grounds, drawing on the estate’s natural water sources.

In later years, the family cultivated a vibrant cultural life, welcoming many prominent figures from the worlds of art and literature, including Frédéric Mistral, Henri Bosco, Jean Giono, Louis Riou, and Jeanne Bonaparte, as well as members of the French royal family, who visited for the wedding of the Duke of Orléans in 1969. Ottoman princess Hanzade, the Duchess of Rochechouart, and many other notable figures also frequented this historic estate.

The château, featuring a private theatre and sumptuous reception rooms, preserves unique architectural elements sourced from the former Notre-Dame-des-Amandiers church in La Bastide-des-Jourdans, as well as an old farmhouse to the north-west. Its outbuildings, courtyards, landscaped parks, and vineyards reflect the elegance and richness of its past. Frescoes and painted décor by Louis-Adolphe Riou and François Marchand, along with landscape redesigns by Jacques Couëlle in the 1930s, add an incomparable artistic dimension. Renowned architects such as Jean-Marc-Samuel Vaucher and Charles Bodin also contributed to the estate’s refinement.
